Dr. Link Jaw founded Scientific Monitoring Inc. (SMI) in
May 1993 to provide consultancy services in the field of turbine
engine controls. Through the years, SMI has developed
technologies in active tip clearance control, active surge/stall
control, active combustion control, life extending control,
fault diagnostics, failure prognostics, data fusion, condition-based
maintenance (CBM), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM),
and integrated control and health management (ICHM) software.
SMI is a recognized leader in engine controls and monitoring.
SMI's mission is to combine physical domain expertise with
state-of-the-art software capabilities to improve operational
efficiency and reduce ownership cost for safety-critical or
capital intensive assets.
